Mukhyamantri Punjab Cancer Rahat Kosh Scheme relief fund of Rs. 1.5 lakh is provided to the cancer patients for treatment. The beneficiary for this scheme has to be a resident of the State of Punjab. The treatment is available in Government and Government aided Hospitals. For more information log into www.pbhealth.gov.in. Under this scheme, Government Medical College and hospital Amritsar and private hospital, Shri Guru Ramdass Charitable Hospital has been empaneled for the treatment of cancer patients.

|3.||Immunization Strengthening Program||Free Immunization for all children against seven life threatening diseases in all Government hospitals in Punjab.Under this Programme, immunization is being done every month on first 3 wednesdays at aanganwari centres and immunization is done at sub centre on every 4th Wednesday, which is also known as Mamta Divas. Free screening for all children in Anganwadi, Government & Government aided schools upto the age of 0-18 years. Main objective of Child Health screening from 0 to 18 years is screening of defects at birth, diseases, deficiencies and developmental delays including disabilities. Children diagnosed with any disease will receive treatment including surgeries free of cost .
Under Mukh Mantri Punjab Cancer Raahat Kosh Scheme, all cancer affected children get free of cost treatment.Children suffering from Thalaseemia will get free treatment in government hospitals under 6 Thalaseemic Societies (PGI Chandigarh, Government Medical College Amritsar, Patiala, Faridkot, DMC Ludhiana, and Government Hospital Jalandhar).
Iron and Folic acid supplements ( Total 52 tabs) are distributed every week and albendazole tablets are being distributed free of cost to deworm school children in all government and government aided schools, twice a year.

|5.||Rashtriya Kishore Swasthya Karyakaram (RKSK)||In order to ensure holistic development of adolescent population, in the age group of 10-19 years, Counselling clinics have been established in health institutions. |8.||National Tobacco Control Program||For provision of better health to all, Punjab Government has banned: Gutka,Pan Masala, Processed/flavored/Scented chewing tobacco and any other food products containing Tabasco or Nicotine as ingredients (with any name in the market) it’s manufacture, storage or sale is completely banned.Under section 7 of COTPA Act, Sale of loose Cigrattes and Tobacco without warning is totally banned.
